How this page is put together
Where do these figures come from?
Each one is read from that vendor's own published pricing page, and the page says which date it was read. Where a vendor publishes no rate, the page says so instead of repeating a third-party estimate as if it were the vendor's price.
Do the totals include card processing?
No. Taking a card payment costs roughly 2.9% + $0.30 an order whoever you use, so it is left out of every column on both sides — otherwise the comparison would not be like for like.
Why compare them with a build at all?
Because most businesses use a small part of the platform they rent: take the money, hold the record, send the confirmation, show the list. Built once and owned, that part is priced against your own bill — a tenth of what you pay now — and it stops growing every time you sell more.
